Parker gave me The Lake House by Kate Morton for Christmas this year and I truly loved every second of this book. It was so captivating. Kate Morton is a fantastic author that has a way with words and storytelling. It's almost as if she casts a spell over her readers and you can't help but keep reading page after page, chapter after chapter. I've read three of her books so far and can't wait to get my hands on the rest! The other two books that I've read written by Morton are called The Forgotten Garden and The House at Riverton (my least favorite out of the three, but still a really good read!).
All three of these books have the same formula - a story in present day, a story in the past, they somehow intertwine, and there is always a crazy, unexpected twist or secret that I try so hard to figure out but I'm never quite right! I love a good mystery book because it makes me feel really smart when I can solve the mystery on my own ;)
If you haven't ready anything by Kate Morton, give her books a try! And if you have read something of hers that I haven't and you loved it, let me know! I'm trying to decide which of her books I should read next!
