music of the night

When my Mom can't sleep at night, she searches for new music. And she finds a lot of really good songs. We are often the first to hear some of the songs that turn out to be BIG! Take the song Apologize for example. She found this beauty about a year or so before it turned out to be everyone's favorite. Anyway, last night she couldn't sleep. This is the result. Oh, and fyi, some of these songs are old, but we like em anyway.

Jodi's Dance Academy. Oh how I miss thee..

This weekend was the dance recital :) My favorite time of year. When dance gets crazy!! I got asked by Miss Jodi to perform and boy was it ever fun to be involved again. I choreographed my solo to the song Waiting for the End by Linkin Park and Letje Gibb did some AWESOME make up on my face and also a cool design to match on my leg. I also helped with Matlin's class backstage too which was super fun for me. I love those girls!

new job!

So today I pretty much officially started my new job. I've actually been working for the past week... but not in the Tourist Information Center, where my job is. I have been on this thing called a FAM Tour. I think FAM is for familiarization? Not too sure, but that's my guess. Anyway, on this tour, we travel around to all the popular tourist attractions in the area so we are better prepared to tell tourists that come into our center what to expect from these various sites. It was super boring, let me tell ya. And I felt kinda bad for my coworkers especially because this is their fourth summer. Fourth time going to all of these boring places. Although it was super boring, I was getting paid to sit in the back of a car listening to music (not the greatest music, but at least it wasn't silence right?) and sleeping until we got to each site. We did this for a week. Oh and we got our lunches paid for. Mmmm free food? Yes please! Annnnndddd our boss scheduled us kinda strange and we had all this extra time that we did nothing so some days we'd get off earlier than expected, score! And other days we'd get paid for all this time that we didn't do anything but sit in a car, score again! So so far this job has been good to me. Today was my first actual day in the center. I'm terrified of people at first but lucky for me, tourists are generally happy and mentioning that its my first day helps out my scared of not knowing anything and not being able to help people deal. They are pretty understanding, bless their hearts. Well, wanna know what my day at the center consisted of? I helped a couple people out with their lives, directing them to places where they will make many wonderful memories hahahaha hopefully. Blessings for me! Rock on! I also read half of a really good book recommended to me by my 11 year old sister haha and I watched 2 episodes of Hellcats. Good day at work? Ya :) I think I'm gonna like this job... Oh and if you ever drive by the center and you see someone dancing in there? Don't come in. Just let me be. Its a big open space and I just can't resist blasting the music and bustin a move when I'm all alone in there.

Skypage

I promised myself I'd never do a blog post like this but I just can't resist haha I love me some skypage! When Parker lives so far away I kinda start missin him a little bit every now and again. To solve this problem, we skype. Wanna see? Ya I take pictures when he is being weird... which is almost always. So I've got plenty of pictures ;)
He thinks he's a ninja sometimes

Parker's sister, Bailey. We've got a lot in common. Ugly faces perhaps?

Happy Mothers Day!

Let me just tell you about the most amazing woman on the planet. Yah?
Her name is Cheryl Ann McMurray.
She is my Mother and boy is she ever great!
My mother and I are super super close and I most certainly would not have it any other way.
We have been close since I was born obviously but these are some things that I think have played a big part in that closeness.
We are just always together and I wouldn't have it any other way.

zip lining upside down 1000 ft up through the jungle in puerto vallarta?

HIGHLIGHT OF MY LIFE!

ok so I went on a little vacation with my fabulous family! Where to? you ask. Why just the Mexican Riviera. Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta to be exact. We were just cruisin away and happened to stop at these two lovely places. Both of which were awesome. Since so much awesomeness occurred on the cruise and I'm a really lazy person, I'm not gonna tell everything right now. I'm just gonna tell about the best part. My favorite part. Read the title of this post. IT WAS FLIPPIN INSANE.

When you start this zip lining adventure you go down like two small lines where you just kinda practice your breaking skills. I was a natural, or so they told me. So then there are a couple bigger lines. Then there are like 3 BIG lines! Like long and super duper high. After the first one, these little mexican boys that were helping us the entire time tell me that I'm going to go backwards and upside down and I'm all uhh.. no I'm not. But while they were telling me this and I was asking questions, they were hooking me onto the zip line and then they were like ok, so just lift up your legs and then one of them runs at me and jumps and hooks himself on with me. Then we are going across the jungle and he's like now just let go and fall backwards. I didn't have time to think before I did as he said. And then I found myself flying across the mexican jungle upside down. Crazy right? I know! Was it amazing? Heck yah! Would I do it again? In a heartbeat. It was honestly the coolest thing that I have ever done. If you ever get the chance to do it, don't hesitate. Its incredible!
