#blogtember

Hey y'all! Long time no blog! I just kind of took the entire month of August off... of everything. Working, blogging, life-ing in general and it was absolute bliss! I really needed that time to revamp after my insane month of July where I was working 50+ hours total each week.. Parker and I had such an awesome trip to Montana/Southern Alberta with a little bit of British Columbia camping thrown in, too. We spent so much time with family which is just what I wanted/needed.

Now that I'm back in Ohio, I've wanted to get back into the swing of things in every facet of my life, but especially blogging and what better way to do so than with a blogging challenge, eh?

Rachel Sayumi, an adorable fashion and lifestyle blogger I know from BYU (Parker was her home teacher freshman year), joined this challenge and I think it's the cutest idea ever. The challenge stems from the Love Bailey Jean Blog and I feel like it's just what I need to get out of my blogging slump! I probably won't have time to blog every day so I'll just be following the prompts here and there. I'm a day late to the party so I figured I'd kind of combine days 1 & 2 (Introduce yourself & share a list of your current goals) into one post for today. Here goes nothing:

Hi, I'm Chelan. I'm 24 years old and married to the love of my life, a solid 10 ;), Parker Hollingsworth. We live in Ohio where he is attending medical school and I am teaching dance/working remotely for Chatbooks. We love to travel, be in the sun (I'm so sad the summer is ending. I'm in denial that it's actually September. I hate fall... so sue me), eat, exercise, and watch TV. Our favorite date is dinner and a movie with our refillable popcorn bucket :).

Some goals that I am currently working on are:

+ To become a better planner. I just bought myself a new planner with some birthday money and I'm excited to get everything written down and planned out. I feel a little chaotic right now trying to get my feet back under me after being away for so long and I have a horrid memory so writing things down is imperative for me!

+ To not procrastinate! Having my own dance classes this year is so super exciting but also very intimidating. I know I'll feel calmer if I'm prepared well in advance so that's a goal I have for when dance starts.

+ To study the Book of Mormon every day. Does anyone have any tips on how they accomplish this? I have yet to find a method that works well for me.

+ Eat better, exercise, and drink more water & less pop - a constant struggle. I <3 Diet Pepsi!

+ Less screen time. I'm TERRIBLE at this! I get so distracted by my phone so easily. Like right now... How is it 12:41 am?

+ To complain less and count my blessings more! Fall always makes me think of Thanksgiving and luckily, I get to celebrate it twice (Canadian and American) so I'm grateful for the reminder all season long. Life is good, people!

That's all for now folks. Join me in this #blogtemberchallenge! It'll be so much fun! Also, LONG LIVE SUMMER!

xoxo, Chelan

I miss it when I don't write things down and then I never know where to start. And nahhh lol He catches me reading your blog all the time and he thinks it's so cool that your blog has become so big!
