Our Love Story: Part 5

"Here's the thing about this love story of ours. Its long. And drawn out. And mushy-gushy. And even a bit cheesy. But it's true. And I've decided to take my time writing it, capturing all the special details of those moments I never want to forget. So if mushy-gushy, cheesy love stories aren't your thing, I totally get that. Just know that I'm writing this as a gift - to my family, and my children, and their future children - and also, for [Parker] and me - so that on those days when the kids are screaming, the laundry is overflowing and the bills are rolling in...on those days when it all just seems so hard, we'll have this to remind us of those first moments when we fell in love. And if sappy, detail ridden love stories are your thing, well then you've come to the right place." -Ashley Stock

Since my friends had pretty much all moved away, I was determined to keep in contact with them.. and I also didn't have much else to do besides teach dance a couple of nights a week, so Tessa and I would Skype each other pretty regularly. (She was basically the key to Parker and I working out, you guys).

^ Notice the date this was posted! ^

When Tessa and I would have these little Skype sessions, Parker would somehow always end up being there too... I don't know how he did it, but he was always there. And then one day after many conversations between the three of us, Tessa texted me and said, "So Parker wants to Skype you... alone. Without me there. Whattaya say?"

And I got those nervous/excited/whyamireactinglikethis butterflies in my stomach and replied with a hesitant, "Ok," because somehow, I just knew that this was going to mean something to me. And so we skyped. Until 4:00 a.m. And it was one of the best, funniest, most easy and comfortable, and memorable conversations of my life.

Introducing Parker to my rice doll, Inga.

Me being my weird self.

Showing him my 'dead babies' that I wore in my hair for a gothic costume once..... because that's normal conversation.

We continued skyping and texting and 'facebooking' each other frequently. I would send him daily updates of the countdown until Craig came home from his mission and I would also keep him updated on my BYU application process. He was one of the first people I notified of my acceptance!

Please don't judge me for the way I used to speak..... #smh. I'm hoping I'm not the only one that was this strange when it came to boys..

Also, I just had to add this because it made me giggle.
